Depending on your working hours and job role, SIA Licence holders can earn between £12 - £20 per hour, or more.
Running over 5 consecutive days with distant learning, the course is divided into 4 units. It covers everything from the most up-to-date physical intervention techniques to the legal aspects of security work.
Once you have completed your course, your certificate will be emailed or posted to you within 7-working days. Following that, just complete these simple steps:
1) Complete the licence application on the SIA website.

2) Complete identity checks.
The SIA will need you to verify your identity via photographic ID. This can easily be done at the Post Office.
3) Submit your application to the SIA.
The SIA will run a CRB (check) on your criminal record and verify that you are who say, otherwise known as an identity verification. This check goes back at least five years in history. If you have lived outside of the UK for more than 6 months, you may have to provide additional supporting evidence.
4) Get your SIA License in the post.
Congratulations! You’re now a fully licensed Door Supervisor for the next 3 years!

The SIA upskilling course is for Door Supervisors who need to renew their licence after 1st October 2021. With our Upskilling Course, you will gain all the extra skills that come with the recently updated Door Supervisor course, helping you to enhance your security skills. The course takes place over 2 days and costs just £100.
As of April 2021, several changes have been introduced to SIA Licensing. If you need to renew your licence after 1st October 2021, taking this Top-Up course will be mandatory to continue working as a licensed security professional.

The Top-Up Training is a mix of written exams and practical assessments based on the new skills you will learn.
Please note: as of April 2021, you must hold The First Aid At Work (EFAW) qualification before applying for your SIA Top-Up Training.

Our Level 2 Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course will equip you with all the skills you need to react with confidence in situations where someone sustains an injury or falls ill. The course takes place over a single day and costs just £TBC.
